Hey crew! Happy New Month!
I love the fresh page of a new month and really enjoy taking the time on 01 to set the intentions I have for the month ahead. Recently I have been personally practicing reconstructing and redesigning things in my daily life. One of those things is making a clear distinction between "habit" and "routine". It is so quick to slide into habits as our lives are busy, society in general is fast paced, and therefore many things fall into subconscious patterns. This doesn't just have to become a solicited or concrete part of "who you are" or your identity. An example would be: I pass by this coffee shop every day and get a coffee. That becomes habit whether you even need the coffee. Perhaps you already had one at home. But it becomes something you do out of habit therefore continue without intention. Routines are very intentional. You are consciously making the decision to do it. The difference is re-evaluating and re-designing. This is my challenge for this month. Each week of this month we will be taking one thing that is not currently serving our highest self aka wellness that also costs us (dinero) -this is important because this helps us also see a tangible cost to non-essential things we have accumulated due to habits. Then we are adding one thing that aids our highest self aka wellness that doesn't cost. An example sticking to the analogy would be removing buying coffee out and adding catching a sunrise or sunset once a week. In this group I want you at the start of each week posting your removal and your addition for the week. At the end of the week send your 7 day checklist of completion!
