90% of my training is focused on being able to move my body outside of daily regular patterns… not constantly repeating movement patterns I know it can easily do…
I call this Brain Training. You see our body is a product of the mind. If I believe I cannot do a movement my body will absolutely do what it can do avoid that movement as a product of my mental process aka belief.
Take this movement for example. I know my foot strike pattern in many movements such as walking and running follow a path of compensations as a result of tightness, overuse, weakness, etc. If I implement intentional movements in my training that are outside of those ingrained compensated movement patterns, I am telling my body how it can actually move…. Freeing it of restriction.
