An ode to a new day
Each day is an opportunity to:
accumulate stress or release stress
fuel your body or drain your body
be kinda to your nervous system or trigger your nervous system
move your body and release tension or stay stagnant and create tension
be present in the moment or be stuck in the past
Each day, you won't get any of the above 100% "right", but guess what.... that's not the goal. The goal is to think of the day as an opportunity to make choices, decisions, have thoughts, and behaviors that are a little more on the positive side of the scale. The more that intention is what leads, the more that muscle develops...soon, your muscle memory is "today I will do/choose what is for me".... then the stuff that is "against you" is just useful resistance in the reps of the day to day :)
Now go flex that muscle.
