Mental Snack
Let us paint a picture for you.
You wake up and get your morning sunlight, you drink lemon water with a pinch of Himalayan salt. You do lymphatic drainage as you put on your all natural skincare. You listen to breathwork sound bath practices in traffic on your way to work. You have a sitting - standing desk. You take out your glass lunch container and eat your meal prep. You come home and do a 25 min spin workout. Then you make sure you get off your screen and eat at least 3 hours before bed. You tuck yourself into bed and think about how you aren’t sleeping in organic sheets, you didn’t take your supplements, you should have had magnesium to sleep, you have high cortisol from work, you didn’t do an hour workout, and you just aren’t doing enough… and that you aren’t enough. You’re already behind, you’re 34 and have to do so much to even meet the “standard” set.
The point we are making here is two fold.
1. If you are doing all your wellness practices from fear versus out of nurturing yourself, then it is never going to hit the same. You will always have underlying stress even when doing your distressing practices.
2. If you think you are never enough or you aren’t doing enough, that will always sound louder to your body than the practices you are doing to compensate.
Intention + the energy behind your practices matter most. And sometimes it takes completely rewriting our narratives and rewiring our brain.
