You are a constantly changing being. So comparing yourself to yesterday or last year is not really a fair measure is it? Your skin cells regenerate around every 27 days. Your hormones cycle. Your muscles tear and repair. Your environment is constantly changing. Being a critic of yourself via comparing isn’t really dismissing a huge part of being alive, which is change. Burpees could feel easy last year and hard today because of so many things; from your sleep schedule, to the work you’ve done correcting your biomechanics, to how stressed you were three days prior and those delayed somatic effects. Keep your measures of progress in the now. Remember, you are constantly changing and evolving. If your intent and actions align with leaning into positive change, then positive change you will allow yourself to feel.
