Cumulative effect is the wonderful and highly overlooked phenomenon of the small stuff adding up. Both good and bad, it is a truth. You are why you repeatedly do. So moving into this new year, if you have some big goals, medium goals or small goals…. They are all made through the small and consistent actions.
Weight loss is a top new year resolution and one thing to keep in mind is it takes time. Just as the weight gain also took time, small changes over time led to it. Weight loss and ANY journey of the body takes time. It’s a patient and rewarding process of understanding:
- what the small steps are
- the mechanisms of your WHOLE being (not just your body) at play
- the power of consistency
The cool thing about cumulative effect is it is how you choose to view it. You can see the excitement of it all or dread the patience required. This note method is SUPER simple and a great one to have a tangible and visual guide of what consistency looks like.
*note any methods for achieving a goal also need to come with the balance of grace… that means none of these methods should create pressure… if you feel that way, this may not be the method for you.
